FFL to FFL Transfer $35 per serial # item (plus tax 8.25% and BG if No CCW) as of 11/01/17

– Expedited Transfers with CCW and all current documents takes 10-15 minutes.

Items required:  Firearm email confirmation of delivery, FFL and Invoice with $amount$ listed shipped with firearm, DL and CCW —- In and Out in 10-15 mins.

1.  If we can’t order the item or beat their price – complete your online purchase.  If NWA is not listed on their website, type our name in and complete purchase – call us with the store’s name & email address of where you purchased it.

2.  Wait for an email of delivery confirmation from online store UPS, FEDEX, USPS. — Do Not Call — Come in at your convenience.

3.  Come in and Inspect your Transfer.

4.  Fill out the 4473 and provide DL and CCW.

5.  Pay for Transfer $35 and Sales Tax on $amount$ paid

6.  In and Out in 10-15 mins with your firearm.

– TRANSFERS without CCW or all documents can take 15 mins to 5 business days.

Items required: Firearm email confirmation of delivery, FFL and Invoice with $$$ listed shipped with firearm and DL for Background Check which can take 15 mins to 5 business days (not counting Saturday, Sundays or holidays).

1. Steps 1 through 4 above.

5. Pay for Transfer $35 + Sales Tax on $amount$ + BG of $25 and wait for Background check call in.

6. BG checks with “Proceed” response will take firearm immediately.

7.  BG checks with any other response will wait 4-5 business days — not including Saturday, Sunday or state/federal holidays.


– The transfer fee is incurred upon Delivery at our Store – returns, shipped wrong items, etc. are between you and the Original Dealer/Seller and Transfer charges will apply.  Transfers will be held for Twenty (20) Days.  After Thirty Days, storage fees of $20 per month apply.  After 120 Days, Transfers will be considered abandoned and forfeited.****

 WE DO NOT ACCEPT SHIPMENTS OF ACCESSORIES OR AMMO ON BEHALF OF CUSTOMERS.  Northwest Arms WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for any items or accessories shipped with a transfer or to our store.

NWA is on file at hundreds of FFL’s in USA – No need call – just following tracking #.

By shipping a firearm to Northwest Arms, it means that you understand and accept the transfer policy as put forth by this document.

Terms & Conditions of Firearm & Accessory Sales/Transfers

ALL SALES ARE FINAL – TRANSFERS OR PURCHASES.  Firearms cannot be returned once they have been transferred to the Customer/Buyer.  Once the firearm has been transferred, it is considered USED, even if it has not been fired.  The Customer/Buyer must inspect the firearm before completing the transfer and notify “The selling FFL” immediately if there is a problem.  If a firearm has a problem or defect after the transfer – do not return to store – send directly to Manufacture.  Northwest Arms is not responsible for any items lost or damaged in transit by USPS or UPS or FEDEX once it has left the store.


ABANDONED FIREARMS/CLASS III / TRANSFERS: Once a firearm or item is considered abandoned, Northwest Arms reserves the right to possess and sell the firearm at no further recompense to the Customer/Buyer/Seller.



Layaway is available on New Firearms and Special Order/Hard to find items for a term of 60-Days.  Layaway does not apply to Sale or Discounted items and will be based on Tag Price.  

No trades against layaway and No Cancellations – forfeiture of 20% restocking fee.  

20% non refundable deposit will secure your firearm(s) from our inventory and restocking fee.

Payments can be made weekly or monthlY

Balance Paid in full on or before 60 days.

Early payoffs are welcome.

After 60 days, IF we have not received payment in full, your Layaway Plan will automatically be canceled and there will be a $100 cancellation fee.

Layaway item cannot be changed after 10 days – After that a fee of $50 applies.

NO REFUNDS ON $100 DEPOSITS …. Cancellation of sale due to DELAYS and/or DENIALS is $100 / CANCEL OF LAYAWAY is $100 / CHANGE OF MIND or CHANGE OF ITEM is $50.


Per 28 C.F.R. § 25.8 and 28 C.F.R. 25.9 transferors are not permitted to receive criminal history information pertaining to the transferee. A status of Proceed, Unresolved or Deny will be provided (see below for definitions).

Proceed: The firearms transfer may proceed, as no disqualifying information was located in databases available to the Point of Sale Firearms Program that would prohibit the transfer of a firearm to the potential Transferee.

Unresolved/Open: The Point of Sale Firearms Program is unable to reach a Deny or Proceed status. An Unresolved/Open response does not prohibit a Transferor from transferring a firearm.

Deny: The transfer of a firearm would violate federal or state law.

The background checks are conducted to ascertain if the person attempting to obtain a firearm falls within any of the prohibited categories as outlined in Section 922(g) or (n) of Title 18, United States Code or any Nevada specific instances.

These prohibited categories are:

922(g)1 – Person who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year

922(g)2 – Person who is a fugitive from justice

922(g)3 – Person who is an unlawful users of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802))

922(g)4 – Person who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or have been committed to a mental institution

922(g)5 – Person who, being an alien, is illegally or unlawfully in the United States

922(g)6 – Person who has been discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions

922(g)7 – Person who, having been citizens of the United States, has renounced their U.S. citizenship

922(g)8 – Person who is subject to a court order that restrains them from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of such intimate partner, or from engaging in other conduct that would place the partner or child in reasonable fear of bodily injury

922(g)9 – Person who has been convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence

922(n) – Person who is under indictment or information for any crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year

Specific Disqualifications to the State Of Nevada

Felony/Gross Misdemeanor prohibition – Weapons: You shall not possess, have access to, or have under your control, any type of weapon.

Per N.R.S. 200.360, the State Of Nevada does not recognize the “restoration of firearms rights” from another state, a person wishing to regain firearm rights for the State Of Nevada needs to be in possession of pardon from the state of conviction that does not restrict his or her firearm rights, as shown below.

1.  A person shall not own or have in his or her possession or under his or her custody or control any firearm if the person:

(a) Has been convicted of a felony in this or any other state, or in any political subdivision thereof, or of a felony in violation of the laws of the United States of America, unless the person has received a pardon and the pardon does not restrict his or her right to bear arms;
